Oranges & Roses
Elegant light coffee with floral aromas and juicy citrus flavours. Expect medium body, creamy texture and fruity sweetness. On the palate you'll find notes of orange, iced tea, milk chocolate and rose. On filter, this is a light, floral coffee with a smooth texture and citrus acidity. On espresso, the syrupy sweetness, tea body and citrus juiciness stand out, complemented by the floral aromas of rose and hibiscus.
Another great coffee we have selected for our limited edition is the coffee from Peru. As you've come to expect from us over the years, we really like coffees from Peru. This is mainly because their flavour profile is always very complex and unmistakable.
This time we have chosen a coffee from the Santa Teresa farm, run by Andrés Torres. His farm is located in the northern part of Peru, on the border with Ecuador, in the Amazonas region, which, in addition to its high coffee production, is famous for its archaeological sites.
Andrés has made a name for himself in the north of Peru thanks to his naturally processed Geisha coffees. In 2021, he even managed to win sixth place in the Cup of Excellence Peru.
In recent years, Andrés, like most farmers, has been experimenting with different styles and fermentation times, as well as new varieties. And this is also the case with the lot we have selected for you.
This coffee is a naturally processed Red Bourbon variety that Andrés has only recently planted and this is his first harvest. And, as we have seen many times ourselves, despite the common belief that first harvests are not worth much, here again we have to confirm the opposite! This coffee immediately struck us with its fruitiness and complexity, which is typical of the geisha varieties for which Andrés is famous. Only the ripest cherries were selected during harvesting and then placed in sealed tanks and left to ferment for 45 hours. They are then moved to the dryers and dried for 25-30 days, depending on the weather. The result is a clean and complex coffee with a beautiful texture and aroma that you just won't find!
