Raspberry brownie

A beautifully fragrant, sweet coffee, combining the taste of chocolate and fruit. Enjoy notes of raspberries, high percentage chocolate or brownies. The coffee has a full body, creamy texture and intense fruity aroma thanks to natural processing. On the filter, it's a mix of milk chocolate, papaya and raspberry, complemented by a milky texture and dense body. On espresso, expect full body, nougatine, hot raspberry and candied fruit acidity.

The production of specialty coffee in Asia is still on the rise and it is no wonder that roasters are increasingly offering interesting coffees from these countries. We have recently been able to add coffee from India to our production for the first time and this time we are following it up with a more traditional region - Indonesia. This is not the first time we have been intrigued by this region when putting together the line-up and this time there is really something to look forward to!

In collaboration with Falcon Coffees, we have selected a lot from Ijen Farm, run by farmer Pak Andi. His farm is located in East Java in the village of Sukasari. Pak Andi is in charge of running the 68ha farm, which stretches from 1200 to 1750 m.a.s.l.. Pak has been growing coffee since childhood, when he learned everything from his parents. Initially, most of the coffee production in the region was Robusta, but as Arabica continued to grow in popularity, Pak decided to focus on this variety in 2000, and since 2008, it has been the mainstay of Ijen Farm's production.

The varieties grown here, which are the basis of our lot too , are Komasti, Andungsari, Bourbon, Kartika and Abysinia. At Ijen Farm, they also focus on sustainable farming and only fertilise the coffee trees with organic fertiliser. All the coffee trees also grow under the shade of planted trees, which, in addition to biodiversity, provide the coffee with highly desirable shade and temperature differences.

The lot we have selected for you from Ijen Farm is a blend of their traditional varieties, processed using a natural method. It is thanks to the traditional dry processing method that this coffee has a very intense aroma of ripe fruit and a dense body. However, thanks to the gentle and controlled process, the coffee has retained a beautiful clarity in flavour, so you don't have to worry about the unpleasant alcohol notes often seen in similar lots.

This coffee really pays homage to the coffees of Indonesia for us and if you haven't got your hands on one yet, this is the perfect opportunity to see for yourself how great the coffees of Java can be!

Roasted coffee beans, 100% specialty coffee Arabica, roasted and packed in the Czech Republic.
