Peach Yoghurt

Sweet, naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia full of flavour! After the first sip, you will be captivated by the distinct herbal aroma of chamomile and Earl Grey tea, then the flavour turns to white peach, orange and milk chocolate. The texture is smooth, yoghurt-like and lingers in the aftertaste. On the filter it is a creamy, sweet coffee with notes of peach and tangerine. On the espresso, the strong, juicy acidity of citrus stands out, complemented by the pleasant sweetness of strawberries and chocolate.

Another Ethiopian coffee in our offer this time is provided by importer The Coffee Quest. The name of the project from which this lot originates is Iron Lion, and the man behind the project is Michiel Lampers, who is in charge of sourcing coffees from Ethiopia for The Coffee Quest. The name refers to Bob Marley's song "Iron Lion Zion", which symbolizes the fight for freedom in Ethiopia.

The Coffee Quest worked on this project together with Ture Waji, founder of Sookoo Coffee. This company focuses on the improvement of the region in addition to producing high quality coffee. Among other things, they build schools, educate farmers and have a 'women first' policy in their washing stations.

The lot we have chosen for you is a blend of coffee from small farmers in the Guji area from farms located at more than 2000 meters above sea level. During the harvesting process, emphasis was placed on selecting only ripe cherries to achieve the highest quality of the resulting beans. After removal of the floaters, whole cherries were dried on African beds for 14-16 days before being moved to local dry mills.

Flavour-wise, this coffee retains the typical characteristics of dry-processed Ethiopian coffees. From the juicy acidity, to the typical peach flavour, to the tea-like body. For us, this is a beautiful coffee, perfect to end a busy summer line-up!

Roasted coffee beans, 100% specialty coffee Arabica, roasted and packed in the Czech Republic.
